More on molten sulfur tank cars, including some great news!

IT’S ALWAYS PLEASING to be able to report on a new freight car, especially when that is a new item from superlative kit producer Rail Yard Models, and even more so when it is a tank car, always a much under represented section of the hobby.

The new model represents an early Trinity-built 13,500gal molten sulfur tank car, as pictured below. Modellers familiar with RYM’s previous sulfuric acid tanker, one of the company’s first products, will know what kind of quality that we can expect from this new resin and photo-etched metal kit (with R-T-R trucks and some plastic injection-moulded detail parts).

Rail Yard Models had a stand at the recent Springfield, MA., train show and was displaying pre-production versions of the new tank car, see *here*, *here* and *here*.
