Another pair of narrow gauge loks from Switzerland.
STABLED FOR THE weekend, Die Zentralbahn (SBB CFF FFS) De 4/4 No. 121 rests at the head of a rake of metre gauge stock at Luzern/Lucerne, Switzerland, on October 15th, 2006. The flash new ZB colour scheme manages to just complement the 1942-built styling of the ex-Luzern-Stans-Engelberg-Bahn locomotive/baggage car.
Not the most asthetically pleasing locomotive that you could find at the front of the Golden Pass panoramic service, but at least it has another use in that it doubles up as a baggage car. GDe 4/4 No. 6002 of the Montreux-Oberland Bernois (MOB) departs from a dull Montreux with a Golden Pass working to Zweisimmen on October 14th, 2006. The metre gauge machine is named Isabelle von Siebenthal.
