An ex-Santa Fe SD40-2 and a late-phase Soo Line GP38-2.
UPGRADED TO INTERMODAL trailing unit status for the day, Burlington Northern Santa Fe SD40-2 BNSF 6951 was still proudly displaying its excellent Santa Fe blue and yellow Warbonnet scheme as it pounded through Saginaw, Texas, on October 19th, 2005, in company with Dash 9-44CW BNSF 5130. Silver trucks may be one of the most impractible paint scheme additions for freight railroads, but they always look good.
One of the final order of just two locomotives, SOO 4451 could be found partnered with sister GP38-2 SOO 4424 at Madison, Wisconsin, on October 8th, 2002. Being delivered in 1983, this batch sports angled ‘laundry chute’ blower duct, a straight sill and quiet or ‘Q’ fans, giving it an overall more modern (at least for 1983) appearance. Despite the faded billboard SOO lettering, this is a Canadian Pacific unit.

Nice catch: a late unit but riding on recycled trucks.
I think that is how the whole Soo GP38-2 fleet was specified.
