WEARING THE SMALL version of the Conrail Quality branding, the PRR 3012 is busy shuffling intermodal flats amongst the snowy surroundings of Norfolk Southern’s Harrisburg Yard, Pennsylvania, on March 9th, 2005. Built in May 1977 as the CR 3298, the locomotive is one of 124 GP40-2s delivered to Conrail between April 1977 and February 1980. It has recently been repainted in NS ‘horsehead’ livery.

So much chocolate, in fact, that it requires over 11,000hp to be allocated to the working… Norfolk Southern Dash 9-40CW No. NS 9273, SD50 No. PRR 5402 and SD60I No. PRR 6761 were the machines in question and they switch their train in the small yard just east of E. Derry Road grade crossing on March 9th, 2005.
