A couple of pictures from 2006.
ALTHOUGH BUILT AS a two-car unit, Bombardier ‘Turbostar’ DMU No. 170271 had a ‘One’ Railway ‘refresher’ liveried centre car in its formation, sandwiched by the normal ex-Anglia Railways driving cars, when it was photographed late at night at Norwich Thorpe station, Norfolk, on November 6th, 2006. The Class 170/2 was getting ready to work a service to Cambridge.
Every time I see a West Coast Railway Co. diesel I have to remind myself that no matter how boring the livery at least it is nice that the locomotive is still running on the main line. BRCW ‘Crompton’ Class 33/0 No. 33025, formerly of Direct Rail Services (with Minimodal branding), is pictured here in a brand new coat of WCRC maroon ‘dip’ at York on September 21st, 2006.
