A couple of scenes from the American mid-West.
BUSY BUSY AT Hull Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, on May 18th, 2006. Union Pacific SD70M Nos. UP 4225 & YP 4081 crawl towards the grade crossing with a south/eastbound double stack intermodal while a Caterpillar tractor kicks a couple of cars around in the Cargill grain elevator.
The almost homogeneous line up of Iowa Chicago & Eastern power at Nahant Yard, Iowa, on May 20th, 2006, is spoilt by a single SD40-3 still wearing remnants of its former Canadian Pacific colours. From the left the locomotives are SD40-2 No. ICE 6424 City of Sheldon, ICE 6417, SD40-3 Nos. ICE 6077 Don Cook & ICE 6075 (ex-CP) and SD40-2 No. ICE 6453 City of Ventura.
