Two more shots from the Gotthard - can you ever have enough?
UBIQUITOUS ELSEWHERE IN Switzerland, the Re 460 ‘Lok 2000’ machines are less common visitors to the Gotthardbahn, although there are a few regular diagrams for these trademark SBB CFF FFS’s electrics. No. 460 013-6 Nord Vaudois rushes a strengthened IR2163 07.03 Basel SBB-Locarno between Altdorf and Erstfeld on April 25th, 2009.
Somehow even the industrial units around the valley floor of the north ramp of the Gotthard route don’t detract too much from the overall beauty of the area. SBB CFF FFS RABe 522 Class ‘FLIRT’ four-section EMU No. 522 008-2 zips along just north of Brunnen on a Stadtbahn Zug S-Bahn S2 stopping service from Zug Hbf to Erstfeld on April 25th, 2009. I did cheat a bit and remove a graffiti ‘tag’ on the grey box.
