THIS 1977-BUILT Henschel DHG1200 854kW (1160hp) B’B’ diesel looks terrifically smart in its Carlo Vanoli AG yellow and black livery as it sits at Erstfeld Shed on the Gotthardbahn, Switzerland, on April 24th, 2009. Built for Danish operator Varde-Nørre Nebel Jernbane as the DL14, it is now classed as Bm 847 with the number 847 853-9 and name Lok Goldau.

Former SBB CFF FFS Re 466 (Re4/4IV) electric now plies its trade for the Schweizerische Südostbahn, a private railway based in the north east of Switzerland. Wearing the SOB’s colourful red, white and grey livery, No. 466 018-4 prepares to propell the IR 2409 07.40 Luzern-Romanshorn ‘Voralpen Express’ service out of Arth-Goldau, Switzerland, on the not untypically misty and dull morning of October 16th, 2006. Note the train has been strengthened with the addition of several SBB coaches.
