THE PLAIN RED livery on JR East/East Japan Railway Co. EF81 Bo-Bo-Bo 1,500V dc/20kV ac electric locomotive No. 94 has been tastefully amended with a shooting star logo reflecting its sleeper duties as it awaits its next duty at Tabata Yard, Kita Ward, Tokyo, Japan, on July 19th, 2009.

One of the iconic Japanese electric locomotive types, this freshly repainted JR East/East Japan Railway Co. EF81 Bo-Bo-Bo electric locomotive No. 91 was recorded at Tabata Yard, Kita Ward, Tokyo, Japan, July 17th, 2009. These versatile machines can draw power from both main Japanese overhead systems, 1,500V dc and 20kV ac.
