The all-new Genesis line MP15AC in pictures.

SO, AFTER MUCH delay, Athearn’s Genesis MP15AC is finally here, but, as the saying goes, it was worth the wait,. The Californian firm has really pushed the boat out with road specific detail, the only thing visually letting the model down being the floppy and warped delrin handrails. So far, I have purchased four of ‘em - CP ‘Beaver’, Milwaukee Road, Soo Line and UP (ex M-K-T) - although I could have easily taken more. The CP and UP versions are illustrated here.

A mix of DTTX well cars.

ANOTHER SET OF ten TTX Co. well cars. I’m not sure what the story is with the DTTX 725xxx numbered vehicles which wear a red paint job, rather than the usual TTX yellow. I’m guessing they were ordered for another operator and then went to TTX.

THE MAIN FOCUS of today’s update is on the Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad’s small fleet of Gunderson ‘Maxi-I’ 5-unit 40ft well cars, but there are also a couple of shots of interest to modellers that may have purchased Walthers RTTX 89ft 4ins flat car.
