DRS’ 37667 visits the Nene Valley Railway for its spring gala.

TOWING ONE OF the Nene Valley Railway’s air-braked European-gauge coaching stock sets, Direct Rail Services’ No. 37667 throttles away from Wansford station with the 10.50 to Peterborough NVR on the Saturday of the line’s Spring diesel gala event (March 7th, 2009). The Class 37/5 was doubled up later in the day for an out and back run with preserved sub-class colleague No. 37518, which wears Railfreight red-stripe livery.

Working as the 0Z37 10.02 light engine move from Norwich Crown Point, Direct Rail Services’ No. 37667 tramps over the River Nene bridge at Wansford on March 6th, 2009, ready for the weekend’s Nene Valley Railway diesel gala event. The Class 37/5 will be joined in its visit to the NVR by Class 27 No. D5401 (27056, from the Great Central Railway) and a FirstGBRf Class 66/7.
