A pair of GM-EMD roster images.

WEARING WHAT I consider to be the classic Union Pacific livery - with the addition of the simple “We Will Deliver” logo - before the railroad went mad on flags, wings and lightning stripes, SD9043AC No. UP 8035 crawls past Cajon Pass Summit, California, on April 19th, 2007, as part of a four unit GM-EMD lash up leading a eastbound double stack container train.

The best - and worst - of US locomotive aesthetics!

THE LIGHT IS fading fast as the Norfolk Southern pairing of C39-8 No. NW 8551 & Dash 8-40C No. NS 8805 come roaring through Emory Gap, Tennessee, with a westbound manifest on October 23rd, 2005. Despite it being the tenth month, fall/autumn doesn’t really appear to have gripped the trees yet.
